1. Is recreational Marijuana, Medical Marijuana and CBD all the same?

Although recreational marijuana, medical marijuana and legalised CBD are all members of the cannabis family, CBD is distinguished from other cannabis by its extremely low level of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive substance that makes the user ‘high’. Legalised CBD does not contain THC.

2. Is CBD legal in the UK?

CBD products are legal in the UK as long as they have the requisite certification that certifies the products as having less than 0.2% THC and the product has been derived from one of the EU approved industrial hemp strains.

3. Does CBD make you high?

Because legalised CBD contains such low amounts of THC (by law, legalised CBD products must have less than 0.2% THC), there is no way a person can get high on legalised CBD. CBD itself does not produce any ‘high’ or psychoactive effects at all.

4. Can taking CBD cause you to fail a drugs test?

Legalised CBD don’t contain high levels of THC, so it’s impossible to fail a drug test from ingesting CBD, even in large quantities. Legalised CBD will help provide your body with all of the essential omegas necessary for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

5. Who can use CBD oil and how do I take it?

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), Cannabidiol is one of several (probably over 200) compounds of the cannabis plant. Derived from hemp – a variety of Cannabis sativa – CBD oil is an entirely natural extract that is sold as a food additive in many countries. Hemp and other Cannabinoid plants are thought to provide significant physical and mental health benefits, including easing pain, anxiety and epilepsy symptoms. In 2016, the UK government's Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) stated that Cannabidioil has a "restoring, correcting or modifying" effect on "physiological functions by exerting a pharmacological, immunological or metabolic action" CBD oil can be taken in drops, capsules, vaped or in food form. As it is an entirely natural product the dosage can vary from person to person and may depend on the severity of the individual’s ailment. Therefore, we always recommend that if you are new to CBD you begin with the minimum dosages for a few days and gradually increase your intake.
